Closeout that holds: documentation, warranty, and handover for owners and lenders

A project is not finished when the punch list is. It is finished when the owner can run the building.

01Plan closeout at kickoff

Decide what the owner and lender will need, such as manuals, warranties, as-builts, and lien releases, and collect them as the work happens.

02Walk the building with the operator

Handover is a training moment. Show how systems work and who to call.

03Track the first year

Establish a clear process for warranty items so small issues are resolved without escalation.
